The Nut of the Day

The more one looks around on the internet the more one discovers that there are an awful lot of nuts out there. Sadly, more than a few of these nuts fuel their insanity with religion. Today, from a certain Fr. David Trosch, I learned that Michelangelo basically perverted all the papacies of the past four centuries by his "homosexual" paintings in the Sistine Chapel. That would include Pius V, Pius IX, and Pius X, great heroes of the Catholic right. Truly one of the nuttiest ideas I have yet encountered.
From the early 16th century to the present day no pope should be found to be worthy of being proclaimed a saint or considered for the titles of venerable or blessed.

During this span of time it is possible that some of these popes may have led lives that could eventually bring them into eternal life. Since all popes from 1504 A.D. to the present have fostered the homosexual life - even if unintentional due to oversights of their predecessors - through the art renderings of homosexual Michelangelo.

How should a pope be classified if he allows public pictorial nudity (largely homosexual in nature) to be present in the Sistine Chapel where popes are elected? Such paintings are pleasing to homosexuals in nature and are present in the service of Satan. Highly organized satanism includes the broad range of immoral heterosexual, homosexual, pedophilic, and bestial activity. What also does this reveal about the cardinals who elect popes?

While ignorance, licentiousness, partial blindness, or cowardice as such would not affect a popes moral holding of office (only heresy and other offenses calling for automatic excommunication would do so), legitimately such condition should have precluded them from being named to a position of revered honor in the Church. What can be said regarding the legitimacy of a pope who has elevated a former pope, from the fifteenth century onward, to the status of venerable, blessed, or saint?

Why are you referring to a "former Catholic priest" as "Father?"

This creates a huge gap in your believability quotient.

Fr. - LOL! How did you ever find this? This should be on SNL or something. So - that filthy Michelangelo is responsible for all of this homo stuff! White waash the Sistine chapel. ROFLMAO!

Seriously, Michelangelo was a third order Franciscan and probably lived a chaste and celibate life - at least when he was older. Nothin' wrong with that.

This might be the nut case of the year, not just the day.

When I was in the Sistine Chapel, I couldn't make out any details on the ceiling. My wife and I were there very early, thanks to advice to an old Rome-hand who had been our pastor for eight years, and we were able to sit on the benches around the perimeter. The ceiling is so high that the creation of Adam fresco is barely discernable. I had thought that was the focal point of the whole thing, but you almost needed binoculars to find it. That was one of my great disappointments on that trip. I wanted to see Adam's wee-wee (for comparison purposes, of course), but I could barely make out Adam in that picture.

I have seen pictures of close-ups of some of the frescos, and they're hilariously funny. And they're all nasty, with brush hairs sticking out everywhere. Michelangelo knew nobody could see that from down below, so he exercised brilliant irony and satire in those pictures that nobody from down below would ever get. And, yeah, those pictures wouldn't make the front page of The Wanderer.

Sorry for any confusion; it wasn't deliberate. I merely used the title he himself uses. He calls himself "Father."

Law West of the Pecos: Bird Watchers v. Cat Fanciers
.
And our new blogging priest from west of here thinks Catholic bloggers are bad.

VINEGAROON, Tex., Nov. 13 — Jurors heard opening arguments on Tuesday in the trial of a bird-watching enthusiast who fatally shot a cat that he said was stalking endangered shorebirds. If convicted on animal cruelty charges in the shooting last November, he faces up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

In her opening statement, the Vinegaroon County assistant district attorney, charged that the perpetrator “shot that animal in cold blood” and that the cat died a slow and painful death “gurgling on its own blood.”

The Internet is up in arms: Cat enthusiast blogs have called the perp a “murderous fascist” and a “diabolical monster.” Birding blogs have defended his right to dispense with a “terrible menace” and have set up funds to help pay for his defense.

In a courthouse elevator during a break in the trial, the perp said heatedly that cat fanciers who have condemned him and sent him hateful correspondence and “think birds are nothing but sticks.” The prosecution and defense wrangled repeatedly about whether witnesses could accurately assess the cat’s state of mind.

The trial, which is expected to take a week, had few spectators save a handful of progressive, social-justice bird lovers and traddy, Latin-loving cat lovers who sat on opposite sides of the courtroom, taking turns in nodding emphatically at various arguments, and objections. Phantly Roy Bean

Fr. Charles Ledderer, The Dakotas, USA you are impersonating a Catholic priest. Your identity is fictitious. There are people on here that are believing you. I am asking you not to trick people anymore.

Jesus Christ was an openly and aggressively gay man. He surrounded with like minded men called Apostles.

Jesus was especially inspired by the the blow jobs of his boy toy, St. Peter. That is why Jesus Christ proclaimed, "Upon his cock I will build my church".

Jesus Christ really loved his boy friends.
